Office of State Mail Operations
As a centralized mail and messenger service, the Office of State Mail Operations provides to its subscribing agencies a high quality mail service, which includes the pickup and delivery of interagency and U.S. mail and application of postage at an affordable rate.
In March 2001, the Office of State Mail Operations (OSMO) officially joined the Division of Administration's Administrative Services group, which includes the Office of Forms Management and State Printing (OSPFM). This association enables State Mail and OSPFM to provide printing and mail services never before offered. State agencies benefit from the combined design, print, and mail service experience of these two agencies and result in a cost effective product. The goal is to save agencies time and postage without sacrificing print quality or expedient delivery.
State Mail currently offers four mail services:
Messenger Service, a prompt service with delivery and pick-up to subscribed facilities.
Mail Processing, application of postage.
Barcoding, application of a barcode, qualifying for discounted postage rates.
Print-to-Mail, having jobs printed by State Printing and processed to mail.
For more information on these services, contact State Mail at (225) 342-7391.
