Effective Monday, October 24, 2011, the Louisiana Department of Insurance (LDI) will have a change in telephone service. The telephone numbers for LDI will remain the same. The general public will reach them in the current manner. Currently, state government agencies in Baton Rouge with a 219 or 342 telephone number prefix can reach LDI by dialing an abbreviated code of 2 or 3 plus the last four digits of the LDI telephone number.  This capability will no longer be available after October 24. These state government agencies will need to dial 9 plus the seven-digit telephone number to reach LDI.

If your agency's telephone dialing is affected by this change, please be sure that your agency's employees are notified of the change and effective date.
