Metro Ethernet
Metro Ethernet services transport data traffic between two or more Ethernet local area networks (LANs) within a designated metropolitan area. Metro Ethernet can be configured as a basic service or as a dedicated point-to-point service. As a basic service, speeds of 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, and 1 Gbps are supported. As a dedicated point-to-point service, speeds of 100 Mbps and 1 Gbps are supported. In addition to Metro Ethernet service, OTM offers Premium Ethernet services, which include other features and functionality. How To Order
Agencies interested in acquiring Metro Ethernet service should complete and submit an OTM-51 Metro Ethernet Agency Request for Vendor Quote Form to OTM. OTM will determine which vendors are able to provide the service in the requested area(s) and obtain and validate rate quotes from the available vendors. OTM will then provide the quote to the requesting agency. If multiple vendors respond to the request for quote, the requesting agency may choose from the responding vendors based on the agency's specific technical needs, timeline, or price.
To accept the quote and order the service, the agency should complete and submit to OTM either an OTM-38 AT&T Metro Ethernet Service Order Form or an OTM-83 Independent Metro Ethernet Order Form.
Billing Rates
Metro Ethernet rates are determined by the specific service type, speed, and the distance of the service location from the service provider's Ethernet node.The rates below are meant to serve as examples and may not be actual rates. Additional charges can be incurred where additional bands and mileage are concerned. Follow the process described in How to Order to obtain specific service pricing quotes

On already installed services one-time charges may be incurred in lieu of the full installation charge if the service is moved within the same location or if the agency requests reconfiguration of the service. These charges are as follows:

*Where installation charges apply, there is a charge for each end of the circuit. Charges are doubled (x2) to install both ends of the circuit. Example: Installation = $500 x 2 = $1,000 for both ends of the circuit.
Metro Ethernet services will be provided at actual cost plus a 3% processing fee.
A Support Service fee of 0.5% shall be applied to the monthly cost of these services.
