Senate Bill No. 597 of the 1997 Regular Legislative Session was introduced and passed to change remittance of child support payments from ten (10) days after pay day to seven (7) days after pay day. Although the remittance law was changed, the Office of State Uniform Payroll (OSUP) has not been notified by agencies that problems exist with the current payables processing schedule. A change to this schedule would require rapid turnover from OSUP and agencies.
In an effort to obtain input from every agency, this office is forwarding a survey on this subject. Please complete the attached survey and return to OSUP by FAX (504-342-1650) by February 19, 1998. If you can't FAX, please use your appropriate delivery method.
