MEMORANDUM SA 01-35

TO:  Fiscal Officers
ISIS Agencies
FROM:  F. Howard Karlton,  CPA
Director
SUBJECT:  ISIS Checks

Due to the DB2 upgrade of the ISIS, the ISIS will be unavailable on Saturday May 5th, Sunday May 6th and possibly Monday May 7th. According to our new check print schedule automated disbursements for checks will run on Mondays and Thursdays, only. Automated disbursements for EFTs will run each night. If the ISIS is unavailable Monday, automated disbursement for checks and EFTs will not be run that day. However, due to the scheduled down time, a special automated disbursements run will occur on Sunday May 6th for both checks and EFTs. Those payment vouchers scheduled on or before 5/6 that meet all payment criteria will print checks on Tuesday May 8th and EFTs will be transmitted to Bank One on Monday May 7th.

To ensure that checks and EFTs needed are issued by Tuesday, we suggest that you enter those payment vouchers on or before Friday May 4th with a scheduled payment date no greater than 5/6. If you have already entered payment vouchers and have made them due on Monday May 7th, you may call the OSRAP Help Desk at (225) 342-1097 on or before Friday May 4th to have the scheduled payment date changed. Otherwise those payment vouchers for vendors that receive checks may not issue payment until Friday May 11th. If ISIS is unavailable on Monday May 7th, the next EFT automated disbursement run will be on Tuesday May 8th with the bank transmission occurring on Wednesday May 9th. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.
