Workers' Compensation

ORM's Workers' Compensation section is responsible for investigating, adjusting, and managing medical and lost time benefit claims for the state employees who have been injured during the course and scope of their employment. Claims are handled in accordance with Title 23 of the Louisiana Revised Statute for Labor and Worker's Compensation.

In an effort to return workers to gainful employment as soon as possible after an injury, the Office of Risk Management has developed a Transitional Duty Program whereby state agencies allow early return to work for their injured employees with proper medical documentation.

The Office of Risk Management now offers insured state agencies the ability to file worker's compensation claims online. An email request can be sent to Karen.Jackson@la.gov
