Program D: Job Training Program

Program Authorization: R.S. 23:4

The Job Training Program is funded through the federal Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA). This program is designed to prepare youth for entry into the labor force. It accomplishes this through the provision of basic and remedial education, on-the-job training, limited work experience, occupational skills training, a pre-employment skills program, job search/job club and summer work experience under Title II-B, and through basic and remedial education under Title II-C.
