Program B: Licensing and Rate Setting

The office is responsible for administering all licensing functions and rate setting for licensed facilities. Licensing responsibilities include child day care centers, adoption agencies, foster care agencies, emergency shelters, infant intervention programs, maternity homes, juvenile detention facilities, child residential care, and family day care home registration for children. This unit also licenses family violence centers, family support centers, respite care centers, case management programs, and personal care programs, which serve both adults and children. Derived costs for licensing programs for adults only have been excluded.
