RESOURCE ALLOCATION FOR THE PROGRAM
SOURCE OF FUNDING
This program is funded with state general fund, interagency transfers, and statutory dedications (Vocational-Technical Enterprise Fund). The interagency transfers are Carl Perkins funds, Louisiana Quality Support Education [8(g)] funds from the Department of Education and Find Work funds from the Department of Social Services. Statutory dedication funds from the Vocational-Technical Enterprise Fund include tuition and miscellaneous sales. (Per R.S. 39:32B.(8), see table below for a listing of expenditures out of each statutory dedicated fund.) Federal funds are collected from the Veterans Administration to cover the reporting expenses of veterans enrolled in the school.
ANALYSIS OF RECOMMENDATION
The total means of financing for this program is recommended at 96.0% of the existing operating budget. It represents 71.6% of the total request ($ 671,877) for this program. Changes are due to an attrition adjustment and a decrease in Acquisitions and Major Repairs offset by the annualization of partially funded welding positions and Termination Pay for an Instructor.
