The mission of the Federal Pell Grant Program is to ensure that eligible recipients enrolled in any of the 40 technical college campuses will receive the grant funds according to the mandates of federal law.
The goal of the Federal Pell Grant Program is to distribute the grant funds in a timely fashion which will enable the students to cover the costs associated with their education.
OBJECTIVES AND PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
1. The Federal Pell Grant Program will process payments to students in a timely fashion as measured by the number of complaint calls received from schools and/or students and the lack of audit exceptions identified by the end of FY 1998-99.
SOURCE OF FUNDING
This program is funded with federal funds through Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1964 as amended in 1992.
ANALYSIS OF RECOMMENDATION
The total means of financing for this program is recommended at 105% of the existing operating budget. It represents 100% of the total request ($7,000,000) for this program. The increase is attributable to an increase in the maximum grant award.
