The Louisiana Gaming Control Board has only one program, Administrative. Therefore the mission and goals of the Louisiana Gaming Control Board are the same as those listed for the Administrative Program in the program description that follows.
The Gaming Control Board pursuant to provisions of R.S. 27.15 has all regulatory authority, control, and jurisdiction, including investigation, licensing, and enforcement, and all power incidental or necessary to such regulatory authority, control and jurisdiction over all aspects of gaming activities and operations as authorized by the Louisiana Riverboat Economic Development and Gaming Control Law. Further, the board has all regulatory, enforcement, and supervisory authority which exists under Act 817 of the 1993 Regular Legislative Session.
This agency's recommended appropriation does not include any funds for short-term debt.
This agency does not have any long-term debt for Fiscal Year 1998-1999.
This agency's recommended appropriation also includes the following amount by means of financing payments on the unfunded accrued lability of the Louisiana State Employees' Retirement system in accordance with the provisions of Article X, Section 29 of the Constitution of Louisiana:
