The Jackson Regional Laundry has only one program, Jackson Regional Laundry. Therefore the mission and goal of this agency are the same as those listed for the Jackson Regional Laundry Program in the program description that follows.
Jackson Regional Laundry provides centralized laundry service for the following state agencies: Baton Rouge Alcohol and Drug Abuse Unit, East Louisiana State Hospital, Feliciana Forensic Facility, Greenwell Springs Hospital, State Department of Veteran's Affairs, University Medical Center, Acadiana Mental Health Center, Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center, Leonard J. Chabert Medical Center, and Peltier-Lawless Developmental Center. With the closure of the Hammond Regional Laundry on June 30,1998, the Jackson Regional Laundry assumes provision of laundry services for Southeastern Louisiana University Nursing School, Southeast Louisiana State Hospital, and Hammond Developmental Center.
Jackson Regional Laundry is an ancillary agency in the Department of Health and Hospitals.
This agency's recommended appropriation does not include any funds for short-term debt.
This agency does not have any long-term debt for Fiscal Year 1999-2000.
This agency's recommended appropriation also includes the following amount by means of financing for payments on the unfunded accrued liability of the Louisiana State Employees' Retirement System in accordance with the provisions of Article X, Section 29 of the Constitution of Louisiana:
