The mission of the Jefferson Technical College Campus is to provide the Louisiana Technical College System with quality instructional curricula which will enhance both the personal and job skills development of the Louisiana citizens, resulting in skilled employees for business and industry and contributing to the productive resources of the nation. This campus strives to meet its goal of providing a well-trained, and credentialed workforce necessary to support economic development, to provide all citizens the training necessary for immediate or future employment opportunities, and to provide for life-long learning opportunities.
This agency's recommended appropriation does not include any funds for short-term debt.
In addition to the above, $2,638 will be paid in Fiscal Year 1999-2000 for long-term debt incurred on behalf of the Technical College Campus from the previous sale of bonds. Total long-term debt service payments for the state for fiscal year 1999-2000 are reflected in the Governor's Executive Budget Supporting Document in Non-Appropriated Requirements, Schedule 22-922.
This agency's recommended appropriation also includes the following amount by means of financing for payments on the unfunded accrued liability of the Louisiana State Employees' Retirement System and/or the Teachers' Retirement System in accordance with the provisions of Article X, Section 29 of the Constitution of Louisiana:
