The mission of the Department of Economic Development is to develop and implement policies and programs designed to promote growth opportunities for business and entrepreneurs, provide meaningful employment to Louisiana's citizens, and market the state as a location for business and industry.
The goals of the Department of Economic Development are:

2. Provide timely and accurate information and services to internal/external clients.
