The Information Security Committee was established in May, 2002. The Chief Security Officer of the state serves as the chairperson for the committee and individual agencies designate an Information Security Coordinator (ISC) to serve as the official representative for their agency. All agencies under the jurisdiction of Act 772 have representation on this committee.

The committee meets monthly to discuss and make recommendations on information security initiatives and policies as they relate to state government and also serves to foster information security awareness within and between state agencies.
