Application Process
If you are seeking a job with OIS and have a baccalaureate degree in accounting, finance, business administration, computer science, management information systems (MIS), quantitative business analysis, computer science, electrical engineering, information systems and decision sciences, computer engineering, telecommunications, or computer information systems and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above, you may be able to skip steps 2 - 4 and contact OIS directly at 342-0900. However, you must complete a Civil Service Application before participating in an interview.

1. Vacancies are announced on the Department of Civil Service's website.

Obtain Civil Service Application from the Department of Civil Service. Complete the form and mail or hand-deliver to the Civil Service Office. You may want to keep a copy for your records.

3. Civil Service will schedule you for a test which must be taken for you to be eligible for an entry level position. Your test results will be mailed to you.
4. Upon receiving an Inquiry of Availability, you must respond by the due date on the form and attach a copy of your Civil Service application. 
5. OIS staff will contact you to schedule an interview.
