Basic Navigation (OLL - 1 hours)
Students will learn how to:
  • logon to ISIS HR  
  • navigate ISIS HR using the various menus, toolbars, and icons 
  • select information through check boxes, radio buttons, and field assistance 
  • find additional information using bulletin boards and subscribing to electronic mailing lists 
  • access online help

Organizational Management Overview (OLL -  hour)

Students will learn:

  • the basics of Organizational Management within the State of Louisiana
  • how to view this information in ISIS HR

Organizational Management Maintenance (ILT - 1 day)
Students will learn:
  • how to create Organizational Units and Organizational Unit Attributes 
  • how to maintain Organizational Units and Positions 
  • how to create and maintain various types of positions 
  • how to create and maintain position attributes 
  • how to understand the structure of reports and how to generate reports in ISIS HR

Employee Administration Paid (ILT - 3 days)

Students will learn:

  • how to process ISIS HR actions (hire, rehire, position characteristic changes (PCC), organizational assignment)
  • how to process the Transfer actions when an employee is moving from one agency to another with no break in service 
  • how to determine what actions to utilize in ISIS HR when a Transfer situation exists between an ISIS HR Paid agency and an agency that does not participate in ISIS HR 
  • how to process Separation action and the additional processes that accompany it 
  • how to maintain non-payroll related infotypes (address, date specifications, family related person)
  • how to maintain payroll related master data (bank details, tax withholding, cost distribution)
  • how to review the payroll reports calendar, run pre-payroll reports and identify post payroll problems utilizing key reports (and analyzing output)
  • how to create off cycle payments
  • how to correct retroactive master data changes
  • how to identify and recover deductions in arrears
  • how to process recoupment of overpayments
  • how to identify employees with claims

ISIS HR Nonpaid Agency  (ILT - 2 days)

Students will learn:

  • how to process all ISIS HR actions (hire, rehire, reallocation, position characteristic change (PCC), separations and transfers) 
  • how to assign hiring reasons 
  • how to change employees master data

Time Administration (ILT - 1 day) 

Students will learn:

  • how to maintain time administration records for employees without cost distribution 
  • how to maintain time administration records for employees with cost distribution 
  • how to record overtime/compensatory time earned, special pay hours, holiday and other new absence types 
  • how to maintain substitutions and how to code FMLA absences 
  • how to view absentee quotas, basic pay and cost distribution 
  • how to review time reporting in ISIS HR
