eCAT Overview
Features
For AGPS users, there is an interface between LA eCat and AGPS. Upon submission of a LA eCat requisition, items will either be sent to AGPS where a purchase order will be created, processed through approvals and encumbrance and returned to LA eCat for order notification to the vendor, or a purchase order will be created within LA eCat and sent directly to the vendor. Processing of the requisition will depend on various criteria pertaining to the order. For Non-AGPS users, upon submission of a requisition, a purchase order will be created within LA eCat and order notification will be sent to the vendor.
In addition to providing web based shopping, LA eCat provides advanced contract search capabilities external to the eCat system. The advanced contract search is accessible from the login screen, but does not require a User ID and password to access.

eCAT Login ID
Agency Security Administrators are required to electronically submit an ISF007 form for all users requiring access to LA eCat for web-based shopping. Additionally, the Agency Security Administrators is required to create an AEDT record in AGPS for each agency that will have requisitioning ability in LA eCat. |
