BATON ROUGE - Commissioner of Administration Kristy Nichols announced today that the sale of the Baton Rouge State Office Building at 150 Third Street in downtown Baton Rouge has been completed. The State Office Building sold for a total of $10,250,000 to the high bidder 150 Third Street, LLC. The money was wired to the Treasury and will be credited to the State Overcollections fund as per the Appropriations Bill.
"Finalizing the sale of the State Office Building here in Baton Rouge is a great opportunity for the development of the Downtown area. More importantly the proceeds from this sale will go towards keeping Louisiana on a balanced budget as the state heads in to session," said Commissioner Nichols.
The Baton Rouge State Office Building is a twelve story, 92,567 square foot commercial office building located on Third Street in the heart of downtown Baton Rouge. The Legislature approved the sale of several state properties as part of Louisiana’s budget for the current fiscal year.
