As a section of the Office of Community Development, our focus is to provide awareness of federal and foundation funding opportunities to state, local and non-profit entities in the state.
Do you give money?
Unfortunately, there is no money in the State Grants Management Section to distribute, but technical assistance in finding federal money will be provided.
Do you receive applications?
Due to the fact that we don't serve the purpose of being a state clearinghouse it is not the role of this section to receive, accept or sign off on any applications for federal or state programs.
Who is eligible for help?
Anyone from state agencies to individuals is eligible for federal assistance and therefore help from our staff.
Do you offer grant writing training?
Our section offers grant writing training to any person or group who is interested. Also, our section will conduct grant-writing seminars at local or state conferences throughout the year. Do you offer prospect research training?
Our section offers training in prospect research to any person or group who is interested. Also, our section will conduct prospect research seminars at local or state conferences throughout the year. Is there a mailing list of grant opportunities that I can put my name or organization on?
There is a mailing available to any person interested in being informed on all current and upcoming funding opportunities.
Do you offer individual training sessions?
Technical assistance of any kind will be provided to the best of our staff's ability, including individual training sessions.
