BATON ROUGE, La. - The State of Louisiana's Hazard Mitigation Grant Program suspended seven companies from the program Friday, pending the outcome of investigations into if these companies engaged in serious misconduct in violation of the program rules.
Office of Community Development-Disaster Recovery Unit Executive Director Pat Forbes said, "We have suspended these companies out of an abundance of caution based on serious allegations that they attempted to violate program rules. We absolutely do not tolerate wrong doing in this or any of our recovery programs and have immediately turned over information about this situation to the Inspector General and the Attorney General's office. We have requested that they investigate potential violations of these companies."
The seven contractors are:
- NTP Construction LA, LLC;
- The Cumberland Investment Group, LLC;
- Fusion Construction, Inc;
- Elevation Shoring, LLC;
- Patterson Structural Moving and Shoring, LLC;
- RamJack Foundations Solutions of Louisiana; and
- Cajun Elevation and Shoring, LLC.
Homeowners working with these contractors who have questions should contact their Mitigation Analyst or the HMGP hotline at (877) 824-8312.
