The Office of State Mail Operations provides a prompt service with dependable delivery, and picks-up mail to and from the subscribed facilities. The hours of operation are from 7:30 am through 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Special deliveries and pick-up times can be scheduled, but should be prearranged on a regular basis. Non-scheduled deliveries and pick-ups are available at the discretion of State Mail at the time of request.

The Messenger Service is billed at an annual rate of $2,800.00 and provides one morning and one afternoon delivery and pick-up of messenger mail. Charges are billed on an annual statement at the beginning of the fiscal year. Agencies subscribing after that time are billed on a pro rata basis.

To successfully use the Messenger Service, we ask you to follow these hints:

- Address mail with the correct name, section, and address shown in the Subscriber List

- Do not use acronyms

- Use messenger envelopes for interagency mail

- Do not use regular white envelopes

- Separate messenger mail from regular metered mail
