Expanded Local Calling Area in Louisiana for Basic Exchange Services

AT&T (formerly known as BellSouth) has filed General Subscriber Tariff changes with the Louisiana Public Service Commission pertaining to expanded local calling areas in Louisiana. These changes allow many area telephone calls that would have been toll (billable) calls to now be toll free.

AT&T began implementing calling area changes in April of 2007. That effort will continue area by area until changes for all affected areas have been implemented.
