| The Employee Relations Supervisor is responsible for: |
- Advising managers and employees regarding the applicability and obligations of federal employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and Title VII) and assisting in the interpretation and administration of those laws.
- Administering the Performance Planning and Review (PPR) program including reporting PPR statistics to Civil Service.
- Investigating performance situations and incidents, interviewing those involved and witnesses, reviewing documents relative to the matter.
- Investigating discipline issues and grievances on behalf of management. Managing disciplinary actions in accordance with Civil Service rules.
- Pre-employment drug testing and criminal history checks for the DOA and other clients served.
- Preparing and submitting the OHR yearly budget.
- Training for the DOA and other clients for the state training program through the Certified Public Training Program (CPTP) as well as the requirements of mandatory supervisory training implemented by the Department of State Civil Service (DSCS).
