This on-line handbook is for Division of Administration personnel who use a personal computer connected to the DOA local area network (LAN). It is intended to give you information you need to know about how your personal computer fits into the scheme of the DOA network.
The Division of Administration's local area network is intended to provide DOA workers with the ability to:
- share data, messages, and files
- run mainframe applications
- access the Internet
- share printers
This is accomplished by providing a set of standard hardware, software and networking tools, including word processing, spreadsheet, electronic mail, communications, database, graphics, and printing solutions. In addition, OIS supports individual DOA sections that require special software packages to support their unique business processing needs.
The Handbook can be read by clicking on specific topics as shown in the table below.
Note: If you would like to find all references to a specific word or character string on a given topic page, such as "lan id", use your Browser's Edit, "Find in Page" command.
