Hurricane Minimally Impacts Blueprint Timeline
Due to Gustav, all Blueprint sessions were cancelled for the first two weeks of September. Postponing these sessions could have been detrimental to the Blueprint timeline, however the Team Leads were able to creatively rearrange the schedule and fit most of the sessions in by the original deadline, with only a handful slipping into the following week. Check out the Blueprint Calendars in the "Calendar of Events" section of the Homepage to see when your next Blueprint session is!

Blueprint is here!
Beginning on Tuesday, July 29th, the LaGov Project will begin system design activities for the new system. This effort, called Blueprint, disseminates what works and what doesn't with current processes, and provides the State the opportunity to streamline and develop new business processes, account structures and organizational structures for the new system. Functional staff members from throughout the State have been invited to participate in these sessions to share their knowledge and provide valuable feedback. The Blueprint sessions will begin in late July and will continue through the remainder of the year, covering various business areas, such as Purchasing, Budgeting, and Linear Assets. As the Blueprint sessions are conducted, the project team will provide periodic updates to stakeholders, to share the changes, impacts, and issues that were brought forth in the sessions. After the Blueprint sessions are completed the new system is designed on paper, then, the Project Team configures the system and ultimately rolls out the new SAP system to the State's specifications - the ones decided upon during Blueprint.
